Diabetic Retinopathy Screening in Tirur
Diabetic eye damage is often silent. Quick, painless retinal imaging catches it early, before vision is affected.
Sampada VR Speciality Eye Care is on Railway Station Bypass Road, Thazhepalam, a few minutes from Tirur railway station and the bus stand. Opened in December 2020, it is the first centre in the Malabar region dedicated to vitreoretinal disease, and is led by Dr Sameera V V, a vitreoretinal surgeon with 14 years of experience.
We treat retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), alongside cataract surgery, glaucoma care, squint, low vision and myopia control. Diagnosis is done in-house with OCT, fundus imaging and the Humphrey Field Analyzer, so most patients get an answer on the same visit.
Patients travel to us from Tirur, Tanur, Kottakkal, Valanchery, Parappanangadi and across Malappuram district. Open Monday to Saturday; call +91 91885 72412 to book an appointment.
